Raíces Sagradas - Retiro de Mujeres

Un viaje desde y hacia nuestras raíces indígenas y latinas/xs

Sacred Valley of the Incas, Perú

DEL 1 AL 11 DE AGOSTO DE 2025

WE HONOR THE EARTH AND ALL ITS BEAUTY, BECAUSE SHE IS OUR HOME, OUR TEACHER AND OUR HEALER!

Our Name

The name Pachanoi is born from two ancestral roots:
Pacha, a Quechua word that means “earth,” “world,” “universe,” “time and space”… and Noi, the Latin word for “us.”

Together, they remind us of a simple truth:
We are the earth. We belong to her. We are part of a greater whole, deeply connected to each other and to all of life.

Pachanoi is an invitation to remember who you are — to return to your origins, to your nature, and to the quiet wisdom that lives inside you.

Here, we walk together to restore balance and harmony.
We let the earth’s energy, ancient wisdom, and mindful practices nourish and heal the body, the mind, and the spirit.

This is a space to come home to yourself, and to the living world that holds you.

Wachuma

Wachuma — often known as San Pedro — is a sacred cactus native to the Andes and one of the oldest plant teachers of Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. For thousands of years, it has been used by Indigenous peoples for healing, ceremony, and direct communion with the spirit world and the natural world. The word Wachuma (or Huachuma) comes from Quechua and carries a profound meaning. Waqcha means “absence of,” and Uma means “head,” pointing to a state of being beyond the thinking mind — beyond ego, beyond the noise of rational thought. Wachuma opens the heart, clears the mind, and allows us to experience ourselves and the world with greater clarity, softness, and truth. Out of respect for the ancestral lineage and the Indigenous wisdom keepers who have carried this medicine for generations, we choose to honor its original name: Wachuma.

EARTH MEDICINE, A JOURNEY TO AWAKEN YOUR HEART AND CONNECT WITH YOUR SOUL

Testimonials

“I am new to the use of ancestral medicine for spiritual healing and therapeutic work, but Yugo and Janeth were extremely holding and supportive during the whole day of my Wuachuma journey. I am writing this two weeks later and the benefits are still profound: heart-opening; emotional surrender and letting go; deep gratitude; and a felt-sense of connection to the earth and my own spirituality. The medicine was also gentle on my body! The day ended with calming guitar-playing, a warming fire and delicious food in their tipi - all set within beautiful, peaceful grounds. I can recommend Yugo and Janeth without reservation.”

"I recently spent a day at the beautiful home of Yugo and Janeth in the Sacred Valley of Peru. An American friend had recommended them highly as gifted medicine workers, and trustworthy people of integrity. I could not have been more pleased. Yugo and Janeth are everything my friend endorsed, as well as being warm and gracious hosts, and people deeply connected to the Sacred Valley land itself, and to the rich history and cosmology of Peru. They guided my friend and me through a day-and-evening long Huachuma ceremony. They created a sacred, safe space for meeting the medicine and for the ensuing internal movement and exploration. Because of their work, we were able to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of place, and to surrender to the power of the medicine, helped by their gentle and experienced guidance. At the end of the day, I felt connected to the medicine, connected to the land and its spirits, and connected more deeply to myself. I highly recommend this experience."
